 In an effort to ensure patient safety and public trust, information on staffing and staff competence is maintained. In accordance with the Hospital Report Card Act (210 ILCS 86) and the Administrative Code Rule 77 IL Adm Code 255, anyone can inquire about nurse staffing information by calling 1-618-943-1000 to make an appointment with the Chief Nursing Officer.
Medical/Surgical Unit
The Medical/Surgical unit is a 25-bed unit operated on a 24 hour basis. The Medical-Surgical Unit cares for patients who are hospitalized for acute illness, surgery, and/or observation. Our highly trained, compassionate staff has a wide variety of training and is competent in attending to the needs of the very young to the elderly. Incorporated in our 25 beds are two beds that can be utilized for specialized care. All nursing staff maintains Advance Cardiac Life Support certification. Because of our smaller patient load, the nursing staff is able to provide the personalized care while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and a commitment to quality. | |
