Movement and exercise designed to increase strength, mobility and endurance. Short-Term Rehab / Swing Bed
Some patients need short-term rehabilitation or skilled nursing care after being hospitalized. Medicare calls this type of care a “swing bed,” but to us, it is just our family taking care of your family until it is possible to return home.
While in short-term rehab, care is individualized but may include:
- Skilled nursing care
- Physical, speech, and/or occupational therapy
- Nutrition counseling
- Ancillary services (lab, imaging, respiratory therapy, pharmacy)
Once goals are met or maximum recovery is achieved, a member of our team will help make preparations for discharge.
