CEO Message

Don Robbins, CEOOne Vision. One Future. Building on our Legacy. Lawrence County Memorial Hospital has served the community for over 70 years, and even though the faces and building have changed over time, our mission has remained constant  – to be the health care provider of choice with excellent customer service. Our future is bright, as we continue to build on our legacy but move forward with our future growth plans - specifically the master facility plan.

A new building will be exciting, but Lawrence County Memorial's true strength lies in our people-- compassionate, skilled physicians, nurses and other professionals who are committed to providing patient-focused care within our hospital and rural health clinics. Our providers take care of patients across the life cycle - from newborns to senior adults. Having a long patient history with the same provider helps people stay well and identify potential concerns early. More importantly, it gives us the opportunity to create and maintain relationships for a lifetime.

We know minutes matter in an emergency situation - that's why our emergency room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days each year. We are designated as a "stroke ready" facility, and our partnership with Deaconess Illinois allows us to quickly transfer patients to a higher level of care if needed. For an illness or injury that needs to be addressed quickly but doesn’t require the emergency room, our acute care clinic is conveniently open Monday through Friday until 8 PM and on the weekends from 8 AM to 1 PM.

We want to make diagnosis, treatment and recovery easier for our patients and their families, so we strive to keep up with the latest updates for services like laboratory, radiology, heart and lung care, as well as physical, speech and occupational therapy. Recently, we have been able to add multiple service lines such as pain management, surgical podiatry, an infusion clinic, pelvic floor therapy and pediatric therapy so that you don't have to travel out of town for exceptional care. If additional services from a specialist are needed, our affiliation with Deaconess Illinois gives us access to the most appropriate resources for you and your condition.

We are proud to be a part of this great community. It is a privilege to take care of you and your family. Thank you for choosing Lawrence County Memorial Hospital - we are committed to being your provider of choice for exceptional healthcare.
