    Patient and Family Advisory Council

Join the LCMH Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)

At Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, we believe that the best healthcare experiences are shaped by the people who know them best, our patients and families.

The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a group of patients, family members, caregivers, and hospital staff who come together quarterly to share ideas, experiences, and feedback that help improve the care we provide.

Through open conversation and collaboration, PFAC members play an important role in helping us create a more patient-centered, compassionate, and supportive healthcare experience for everyone we serve. Whether you’ve received care yourself, supported a loved one, or simply want to help make a difference in our community, your voice matters!

We welcome individuals with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Meeting dates and times will be shared in advance.

What to Expect as a PFAC Member:

As a council member, you’ll have the opportunity to: •
    • Attend quarterly meetings (4 meetings per year)
    • Share your experiences, ideas, and suggestions in a welcoming and respectful environment
    • Provide input on hospital services, processes, educational materials, policies, and improvement initiatives
    • Participate in conversations about patient safety, quality of care, communication, and the overall patient and family experience
    • Listen to and learn from the experiences and perspectives of others
    • Work alongside patients, families, staff, and hospital leaders to support positive change
    • Help represent the voices of patients and families throughout our community

    Who Can Join?

You do not need any special healthcare knowledge or experience to become a PFAC member. We are looking for people who are willing to share their perspectives, listen to others, and collaborate in a positive and constructive way. Every experience is valuable, and every voice can make a difference. By joining our PFAC, you’ll help us to better understand the needs of our patients and families and contribute to making Lawrence County Memorial Hospital an excellent place to receive care.

Together, we can help shape a healthcare experience that is welcoming, compassionate, and centered on the needs of our community.
